15 years of Optima: Our story, your story
There are times in life when you stop and look back. Not with nostalgia, but with gratitude. Today is one of those moments. Optima is 15 years old.
Fifteen - a beautiful age, full of courage and dreams. Old enough to know who we are, but young enough to dream ahead. And yes, we still dream.
It all started with nine heroes
In 2010, nine people had the courage to believe in a simple idea: that business process outsourcing could be done differently - more human, closer, more honest. They were not visionaries with flashy MBAs, but ordinary people building something extraordinary.
Today, we are over 360 professionals in Bucharest, Iasi and Brasov. We have won six Best Medium Contact Center Awards and trained thousands of young people. But beyond the numbers, our secret remains the same: behind every process there is a story, and behind every number - a person.
What does Optima do? More than you think
Optima Solutions Services is a Business Process Outsourcing company. Sounds technical, but in reality, we help companies outsource their call center, help desk, customer service and back office services.
However, our essence goes beyond that. We are, in fact, in the transformation industry. We turn shy students into team leaders, fear of the phone into negotiation skills, and first jobs into successful careers. At Optima, coworkers become friends, the office becomes home, and Monday - a day you come to cherish.
One colleague told us that she adjusted her schedule to her college schedule, not for the money, but to overcome her anxiety. Six months later, she was conducting sales conversations with confidence. This is the kind of transformation that motivates us to keep going.
Our mission does not sit on a wall
"We improve our clients' outcomes through high-quality, customized and innovative solutions." That sounds like the official mission statement. But the real one happens every day, in every interaction, when someone on the team chooses to make things better, not easier.
Our vision is to be the partner of choice for companies that want to grow fast, using technology, but based on four simple principles: satisfied customers, impeccable quality, concrete results and a happy team. Because good service always has an even better team behind it.
Our people - the beating heart
When I asked colleagues why they stay at Optima, the answers varied, but all came back to the same point: people. Some appreciate the flexibility, others the opportunity to constantly learn. Most, however, talk about the team atmosphere - colleagues who have become friends, managers who inspire trust and the community that makes them feel at home.
One Team Leader told us that the work environment has boosted her self-confidence. An introverted colleague found the courage to express herself. For some, Optima is a second home; for others, a springboard. For all, it's where they became a better version of themselves.

Internal promotion is not a nice slogan but a daily reality. You start as a sales agent, become a Team Leader, then a Senior Team Leader - and from there, the sky's the limit.
We have colleagues who started as part-time students and today run entire offices. People who were shy to come in for an interview and now train entire generations through training. Every growth story is proof that at Optima, people are our most valuable investment.
Life at Optima: because we don't just live to work
Yes, we work. And we work well. But we know that happy people do better work. That's why we've built an environment where you're happy to come, not just for the job, but for the community.
We've got Hot Chocolate Day when it's cold outside, Colors Day when the office becomes a burst of color, Halloween, Secret Santa and Easter Egg Hunt. We enjoy, we laugh, we connect.
But we also get involved in meaningful projects. We donate blood in the 'A drop of hope, a chance to live' campaign. In "Plant in Iasi" we get our hands dirty for a greener future. At Food Fest we cook and raise funds for children who dream of a warmer Christmas.
We fulfilled the wishes in letters to Santa Claus from children in a rural school. We gave sweets, clothes, toys - but most of all, hope. Because success is not only measured in numbers, but also in the smiles you bring.
We signed the Diversity Charter, not for image, but because diversity is our daily reality. Differences of thought, experience and background make us more creative, innovative and powerful.
Investing in development
Optima offers ANC accredited sales courses - interactive, applied and adapted to today's reality. It's not PowerPoint, but practical exercises, simulations and real feedback.
Attendees learn how to communicate effectively, structure the sales process and, above all, to trust themselves and the products they represent.
Technology helps us, but people define us
We introduced the first RPA robot - Adam. We became 99% capable work from home before it was cool. When the pandemic came, we were ready and continued to deliver the same quality, professionalism and dedication.
We are constantly investing in AI and automation, but not to replace people, but to support them. Technology is a tool. People are the craftsmen.
What we say to future optimists
Our colleagues have some advice for those who are thinking of joining us: be patient with themselves, be open to new ideas, think of solutions and, above all, have courage.
One colleague told us, "Look for at least three solutions to any problem, because usually the first one is the worst." Another added: "Don't give up when it's the hardest, because the hard times develop you." Both lessons say the same thing: real transformations don't happen in your comfort zone.
15 years later: thank you!
Thanks to the nine who started the story. Thank you to our first employees, partners, clients and all those who have passed through our offices. Some have stayed, some have moved on, but everyone has left a part of their soul here.
Thanks for the trust, the challenges and the friendships. For the laughs at half-time, the celebrations together and the hard times that made us stronger.
Because beyond processes and KPIs, we are a team of people growing together.
What's next ?
15 years is just the beginning. We have big plans, even bigger dreams and the determination to make them a reality.
No matter how much we grow, we will remain true to the same philosophy: a good service always has an even better team behind it.
